“David Bowie Is” es una exhibición de arte itineraria con más de 300 piezas que van desde archivos personales, dibujos, fotos, diarios, instrumentos que utilizó David Bowie en su momento, setlist escritas a mano por él y libros, muchos libros que leyó el Duque Blanco en su momento.

Los curadores de la exhibición Geoffrey Marsh y Victoria Broackes han publicado una lista de los 100 libros de obligada lectura, de acuerdo a la colección de David Bowie. La lista incluye ediciones desde 1945 hasta 2008 en donde resaltan clásicos como Lolita de Vladimir Nabokov o 1984 de George Orwell, así como poemarios de Frank O’Hara y éxitos modernos como Wonder Boys de Michael Chabon.
